AMuSE welcomes Claudio Nodari
AMuSE welcomes Claudio Nodari

AMuSE is pleased to announce that our partners at PH Zurich have won a new collaborator for our project. Since March 2013 Prof. Claudio Nodari supports our work on AMuSE.

Prof. Nodari is an expert on the didactics of non-native language acquisition. He is the director of the Institute for Intercultural Communication (www.iik.ch) and reader for the teaching of German as a second language at the Zurich University of Teacher Education. He is author of several teaching books and curricula for German as a second language, and he is in charge of a variety of initiatives in further education and projects on the promotion of languages on all levels in diverse types of schools. In the project called Handbook of language promotion in multilingual schools, for example, Prof. Nodari developed strategies and materials for schools where between 40% and 90% of the pupils come from different language backgrounds. At the core of the project was the question of how all learners – monolingual and multilingual alike – can be promoted in their individual pathways of language learning.

As part of his collaboration in AMuSE, Prof. Nodari will actively participate at the first international expert meeting of AMuSE in Vienna, September 2013 (see conferences). We would like to welcome Prof. Nodari.
